Research & Planning: Magazine Cover Line Ideas

I wanted to research into relevant events and releases in the film category from the start of January just to make sure my magazine still felt current.

First I looked into the larger events that happened at the start of 2016:

These two screenshots are the top stories relating to both Award ceremonies. 

The Oscars is considered more prestigious than the BAFTAS, so would be included in more mainstream magazines. However my magazine is intentionally available to mainly a British audience so the BAFTAS would be the more talked about event in British film especially. 

In case I was going to promote another film I did some more research into films released throughout the months of January and February:

Two more releases that I thought of that haven't been included in this list but are more for the maturer audience are The Danish Girl and Joy which were both released in the UK on the 1st January 2016.
