We took some very short shots of me and aisha throwing paper planes towards each other in blue toned lighting. The lighting corresponds with some other scenes in the trailer, so this will tie in well to the rest of the trailer. The paper plane has also already been used in the classroom to show the other students' freedom and carelessness.
I wanted to use the paper plane as a transition or fading in the background in a faster pace part of our trailer as a metaphor.
Once a paper plane has some power it can go anywhere it pleases, it will fly higher and fly lower depending on how much power is given.
If Dan gets support and motivates himself he can also fly and succeed wherever he pleases, it all depends on how much faith he has in himself.
I feel that the paper plane can relate to our characters life really easily, so having this object flying through the background of some of the shots could help promote a recurring theme.
These last 2 clips are the ones we could possibly use. We will slow the clips down so that the flight spans over a longer period of time.
