Research & Planning: First group meeting

In our first group meeting we discussed the backbone and title to our film trailer.

Initial ideas: 

- Second year music student at college applying to top university. 

- Comes from a working class background.

- Isolated by their bipolar disorder.

- Their negative side can be channeled through their musical ability.

Our initial idea is to call our film by the one word title of the composition we will make that will play throughout the trailer. 

If that fails we do have a few back ups:

As a group we were all conflicting on what to call the trailer. We needed a makeshift name before we chose our character. 

So we decided to brain storm using Solvr:

When producing our trailer we knew we needed to dedicate roles to members of the group. 

So as of now we have dedicated these roles:

Sound: Aisha, her role will consist of creating the main body of music e.g. soundtrack, and responsible of background noise within scenes and will also do a great deal towards editing in and out sound throughout the trailer

Mise en scene: Me, I will be in charge of costume, makeup, lighting and props for the multiple scenes, and my own poster and magazine.

Cinematography: Paige, her role within the group will be to sort out filming times, being responsible for the camera and tripod, and coming up with ideas for shot types and camera movements.

Editing: This role is being split between the three of us

This is my second idea for a film trailer. I still stuck with the social realism genre, changed the subject matter, and proposed the idea of a relationship. This would show the difficulties of depression and a long-distance relationship in one trailer.

Research & Planning: Film Trailer Proposal #1

This is our initial proposal for our trailer.
We chose a female lead character who wants to be an actress, but unfortunately has to deal with Bipolar disorder.
She comes from a middle class background with both parents still married, with full time jobs.
The lead goes to drama school but only got in by the skin of her teeth and constantly auditions for roles but can never quite make the cut until the perfect role comes along.
